Weather Postpones May 23rd NASCAR Whelen All-American Series events at Concord Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. – Due to the forecast for rain, intermittent showers and possible thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, The May 23rd NASCAR Whelen All-American events have been postponed.  The 100-lap HUTCH/BSR Pro Late Model feature has been moved to Saturday May 30th and the 50-lap Tim Marburger Honda Fast & Furious Fours is moved to June 6th.

Saturday May 30th’s feature schedule has 100 laps for the HUTCH/BSR Pro Late Models; 40 laps for the Town & Country Ford Late Models; 60 laps for the Coca-Cola Pure Stocks; 30 laps for the Wilburn Auto Body INEX Thunder Cars and 20 laps for the Tim Marburger Honda Fast & Furious Fours.  Registration opens at 2:00 PM, pit gates at 2:30, practice starts at 3:30.  The grandstand box office open at 5:30 PM, time trials start at 5:45 with racing at 7:30 PM.  Pit passes are $25 for NASCAR and INEX members, $35 for non-members and competing Fast & Furious Fours drivers are admitted free.

A reminder that the June 6th Southern Pro Late Model Series event has been removed from the schedule due to the demise of the SPLMS.  A NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event has been added to the schedule for June 6th with a 100-lap Pro Late Model event.  The Wednesday July 1st NWAAS event has been removed from the schedule.

Friday May 29th and Sunday May 31st INEX Legends and Bandoleros race on the quarter-mile.  Pit gates open Friday at 5:30 PM.  Heat races get underway at 7:45 with features to follow.  Sunday, pit gates open at 2:00 PM.  Heat races start at 4:45 with features following.  Pit Passes are $20 adult and $10 for age 10 and under.  Anyone under age 18 requires parental consent to enter restricted areas.  Grandstand tickets are $7 for adult with children age 11 and under admitted free with an attending, ticketed adult.
