ANDREW THOMAS WINS SEASON FINALE
* Ben Hinson and Steve Irvin Win Championships
CONCORD, N.C. – Andrew Thomas of Monroe won the 150-lap NASCAR Coca Cola
late model stock feature on Saturday night at Concord Motorsport Park.
Ben Hinson of Kannapolis won the 35-lap Tommy Johnson’s Motorsports
Warehouse limited late model feature and claimed the track championship in the
division. Concord’s Steve Irvin finished fifth and clinched the Golden Gait
Trailers pure stock championship.
Other winners on Hank Thomas Performance Night at the races were: Brian Love
of Mount Pleasant in the 25-lap pure stock feature; Tracy Mullis of Monroe
in the 15-lap Speedway Plumbing fast and furious fours feature; Shaun Mangum
of Monroe in the 25-lap Redneck Racers feature; and Sandy Hutto, also of
Monroe, in the fast and furious fours powder puff.
The regular season is now complete at Concord Motorsport Park. The only event
remaining on the 2006 calendar is the North-South Shootout for modifieds on the weekend of
